TRL came back to MTV in October of 2017. While the original was a countdown of the hotteset music, this TRL was a countdown focused on pop culture and social media. I was on the digital TRL team and we used the on-air component and after show interviews to create digital and social content.
As the TRL digital designer I was tasked with using the on-air graphics package (i.e. color scheme and font) to create logos, treatments and branding for on-air segments as well as original digital content that we used on platforms such as facebook, instagram, youtube and musical.ly.
Although it wasn’t chosen these are logo ideas I pitched. some utilizing the “#” and the idea of social media and countdowns.
